Wear protective goggles or a face shield

Ensure the path of compressed air is away from all personnel

Follow manufacturer's recommendations when using cleaning solvents

Lift Chain Removal and Cleaning

Soak the lift chains in a petroleum-based solvent for at least 30 minutes

Use compressed air (max 103 kPa / 15 psi) to dry the chains

Ensure the sealed reservoir lid is properly replaced to prevent water entry.

Verify that only Dexron III oil from a sealed container is used in the brake system.

Brake Oil Indicator Light Check

Is the brake oil indicator light OFF when the engine is running?

Check if the service brakes are applied before the inching/brake pedal reaches the floor plate.

Ensure the pedal stops firmly and does not move slowly down after the brakes are applied.

Verify that the service brakes apply equally to both drive wheels.

Ensure safety procedures are followed when working near the mast

Are both lift chains free from wear or damage?

Lubricate lift chains with SAE 30W engine oil

Remove chains from the lift truck and soak them in engine oil

Clean any dirt or grease from chains before lubricating

Avoid using steam to clean the lift chains

Remove the floor plate to access rear tilt cylinder lubrication fittings

Seat Rails and Latch Striker Inspection

Ensure seat rails and latch striker are not loose

Check if seat rails lock tightly in position

Verify seat rails move freely when unlocked

Check if seat rails are correctly fastened to the hood

Ensure the hood is fastened to hinges on the frame

Attempt to lift the hood to ensure it is fastened correctly

Ensure no sparks or open flames are present in the work area

Close the fuel valve on the tank

Disconnect the negative battery cable

Ensure no liquid fuel continues to flow from the connections when loosened

Remove the bolt and seal washer retaining the top section of the fuel filter housing
