500 Hourly / 6 Monthly Hydraulic Tank Breather Inspection
Inspect the breather element
Raise the hood and remove the right rear side panel
Safety precautions for using compressed air
Ensure the path of the compressed air is away from all personnel
Direct air pressure away from the filter element
Remove dirt and debris using compressed air
Check for oil or dirt accumulation
Check if oil has accumulated in the cavity or on the breather
Check if dirt has accumulated at the breather passages at the bottom of the breather
1000 Hourly / 6 Monthly Spindle Bearings Lubrication
Preparation
Ensure the lift truck is parked on a level surface
Turn off the engine and remove the key
Gather necessary tools and materials (multipurpose grease, grease gun)
Lubrication Process
Locate and identify all lubrication fittings
Clean each lubrication fitting before applying grease
Apply multipurpose grease to each fitting using a grease gun
Post-Lubrication Check
2000 Hourly / 1 Yearly Gasoline Fuel Filter
Remove and Replace for Lift Trucks Equipped with GFI
Raise the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery
Remove and discard the fuel filter
Refer to Figure 73 for guidance
Install the new fuel filter and tighten the clamp screws to 2.45 to 2.77 N·m (22 to 25 lbf in.)
Connect the negative terminal of the battery and close the hood
Remove and Replace for Lift Trucks Equipped with PSI
Raise the hood and disconnect the negative terminal of the battery
Remove the hose clamps on the return tube and fuel filter
8 Hourly / 1 Daily Mast, Carriage, Header Hoses, Lift Chains, Attachment Inspection
Safety Precautions
Lower the lift mechanism completely
Ensure no person is under a raised carriage
Ensure all parts of the mast are completely lowered and the engine is STOPPED before putting any part of your body in or through the lift mechanism
Do not attempt to correct the alignment of the fork tips by bending the forks or adding shims
Do not repair damaged forks by heating or welding; replace the forks as a set if either fork is damaged
Ensure lateral fork stops are in place before operating the forklift
Inspection of Mast and Carriage
Inspect welds on mast and carriage for cracks; Ensure cap screws and nuts are tight
2000 Hourly / 1 Yearly Air Filter Replacement
Pre-Replacement Checks
Is the air flow restriction indicator light on the dash illuminated?
Has the manual air flow indicator button popped up?
Enter the number of hours since the last filter element replacement
Air Filter Element Replacement
Shut off the engine
Unlatch and remove the cover
Gently pull the filter element from the canister
Clean the inside surface of the canister with a clean, soft rag
