Ensure no gasoline or alcohol is mixed with diesel fuel.

Stop the engine before refueling.

Refuel in a well-ventilated and wide area.

Do not smoke when working around the battery or refueling.

Check the fuel level gauge to ensure it is above the lower limit.

Is the fuel level above the lower limit?

Open the evacuator valve under ordinary conditions

Open the evacuator valve daily when used in a dusty place

Wipe the inside air cleaner clean with cloth if it is dirty or wet

Avoid touching the element except when cleaning

Check the pressure of compressed air used for cleaning

Blow compressed air from the inside turning the element

Ensure the engine is stopped before changing the oil separator element.

Oil Separator Element Replacement

Remove the cover and take out the oil separator element and gasket.

Wipe oil and grease off the zone in question.

Fit a new oil separator element and gasket into position.

Acknowledge responsibility for the performance of the required maintenance on the engine according to the instructions.

Set the water separator handle to the 'OFF' position

Loosen the bottom cock to let the foreign substances out of the separator

Set the water separator handle to the 'OFF' position

Loosen and remove the cup proper

Clean the inside of the cup proper with light oil

Install shields and safeguards attached to the engine

Ensure engine is stopped at a flat and wide space

Clear dust or fuel away from the battery, wiring, muffler, and engine

List parts which had trouble in previous operation
