Stop the engine and remove the key

Reinstall the detached safety shield after maintenance or checking

Apply moderate thumb pressure to belt between the pulleys

Is the belt tension within acceptable limits?

Measure the deflection of the belt under a load of 10 kgf (22.1 lbs)

Is the deflection between 7 to 9 mm (0.28 to 0.35 in.)?

Stop the engine and remove the key

Reinstall the detached safety shield after maintenance or checking

Apply moderate thumb pressure to belt between the pulleys

Is the belt tension within acceptable limits (7 to 9 mm deflection under 10 kgf load)?

Loosen the alternator mounting bolts if tension is incorrect

Use a lever to adjust the alternator position until proper belt tension is achieved

Stop the engine before checking or replacing the fuel pipes.

Ensure no broken fuel pipes are present to prevent fires.

Fuel Pipes and Clamp Bands Inspection

Check the condition of the following components

Apply oil to the screw of the band and tighten it securely if loose.

Checking of Radiator Hoses and Clamp Bands

Are the radiator hoses properly fixed?

Stop the engine at a flat and wide space before checking.

Ensure dust or fuel is away from the battery, wiring, muffler, and engine to prevent a fire.

Check and clear any potential fire hazards before operating.
