CAT Vibratory Compactor CS-683E

Use designated pump for coolant sampling

Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for service point locations

Obtain coolant sample close to the recommended sampling interval

Follow guidelines from the Operation and Maintenance Manual for proper sampling

Submit the sample for Level 2 analysis

Review the Operation and Maintenance Manual for the Maintenance Interval Schedule

Review the General Hazard Information for fluid spillage containment

Review the Special Publication SEBU6250 for S·O·S Oil Analysis information

Obtain the oil sample according to the Maintenance Interval Schedule

Ensure no fluid spillage occurred during sampling

Was the oil sample sent for S·O·S Oil Analysis?

Remove the differential drain plug

Remove the differential level/fill plug

Install Drain Plug and Refill Oil

Add the proper oil to the differential

Check the engine air filter service indicator

Is the yellow piston in the engine air filter service indicator in the red zone?

Service the air cleaner if the yellow piston is in the red zone

Locate the vibratory support on the right side of the drum

Ensure you have a suitable container for draining the oil

Locate the drain plug (1) at the bottom

Remove drain plug (1) and drain the oil into the container

Dispose of the oil in an acceptable manner
