Remove the differential drain plug

Note: Drain the oil into a suitable container. Dispose of the used oil in an appropriate manner.

Remove the differential level/fill plug

Clean the drain plug and install the drain plug

Add the proper oil to the differential

Maintain the level of the oil to the bottom of the hole for the differential level/fill plug

Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual for more information on lubricant viscosities and capacities

Refer to Service Manual, KENR3600 for procedures

Ensure qualified service personnel are available

Gather special tools required for maintenance

Check engine valve lash according to Service Manual, KENR3600

Is an adjustment necessary for the engine valve lash?

Check injector Fuel Timing according to Service Manual, KENR3600

Hydraulic System Oil Change for S/N: ASA1–Up, CEB1–Up, DAD1–Up, BWE1–Up, DAF1–Up, DAG1–Up, DAJ1–Up, BTS1–Up, ASZ1–Up

Remove the hydraulic tank cap and the screen

Wash the hydraulic tank cap and the screen in clean, nonflammable solvent

Connect a hose to the hydraulic oil tank drain valve and drain the oil into a suitable container

Dispose of the used oil properly according to the Operation and Maintenance Manual

Close the hydraulic oil tank drain valve and remove the hose

Remove and clean the two strainers in a nonflammable solvent, then dry with pressure air

Ensure engine is stopped and cooling system pressure cap is cool enough to touch with bare hand

Avoid contact with hot coolant, steam, and alkali

Remove the cooling system pressure cap slowly to relieve pressure

Inspect the cooling system pressure cap

Clean the cooling system pressure cap with a clean cloth

Inspect flexible scraper (3) for dirt and debris

Clean the flexible scraper of dirt and debris

Loosen bolts (4) holding the rear flexible scraper blade and backing plate to the bracket

Loosen nuts (1) holding the front flexible scraper blade and backing plate to the bracket

Adjustment of Scraper Blades and Backing Plate

Adjust flexible scraper blades (3) to 7 mm (0.25 inch) away from the surface of the drum

Set backing plate (2) back 35 mm (1.375 inch) from the end of the scraper
