Check for cracks in the exhaust manifold

Check for damages in the exhaust manifold

Check for gas leaks in the exhaust manifold

Are all lock bolts and nuts tight enough?

Ensure the engine is stopped before changing the oil separator element

Take out the oil separator element and gasket

Wipe oil and grease off the zone in question

Installation of New Oil Separator

Fit a new oil separator element into position

Is the water separator indicator light on?

Drain water from the switch assembly

Air-bleed the fuel system before restarting the engine

Refer to the operator's manual for more details

Stop the engine and remove the key

Reinstall the detached safety shield after maintenance or checking

Apply moderate thumb pressure to belt between the pulleys

Is the belt tension within acceptable limits (7 to 9 mm deflection under 10 kgf load)?

Loosen the alternator mounting bolts if tension is incorrect

Use a lever to adjust the alternator position until belt tension is correct

Is the engine equipped with a DPF cleaning alarm system?

Has the DPF cleaning alarm been triggered?

Clean the DPF if alarm is triggered or every 6000 operating hours
