Inspection of Radiator Hoses and Clamp Bands

Check the condition of the radiator hoses for the following issues

Are the radiator hoses properly fixed?

Are there any water leaks from the hose clamps?

Replace the following rubber piping

Stop the engine and remove the key

Reinstall the detached safety shield after maintenance or checking

Apply moderate thumb pressure to belt between the pulleys

Is the belt tension within acceptable limits?

Loosen the alternator mounting bolts

Use a lever to adjust the alternator position until belt deflection is 10 to 12 mm under load of 6 to 7 kgf

Open the evacuator valve once a week under ordinary conditions or daily in dusty environments.

Air Cleaner Inspection and Cleaning

Wipe the inside of the air cleaner with a cloth if it is dirty or wet.

Is the air cleaner element free from dry dust?

Measure the pressure of compressed air used for cleaning the element (must be under 205 kPa).

Blow compressed air from the inside of the element while turning it.

Has the primary element been cleaned 6 times or is it heavily stained?
