Is the oil level below 1/4 of the sight glass?

Add two quarts of 300 S SU viscosity refrigeration oil if needed

Energize crankcase heater for a minimum of four hours

Ensure the cutter is powered off and secured

Gather necessary tools (straight edge, wrench, etc.)

Measure the length of the straight edge used (should be 30” for P24 and 40” for P34)

Measure the clearance between the top of the cutter rim and the top of the water tank flange

Is the clearance within 1/8” ± 1/16”?

Loosen the four side bolts if adjustment is necessary

Check the oil level in the sight glass

Is the oil level below 1/4 of the sight glass?

Add two quarts of 300 S SU viscosity refrigeration oil if needed

Ensure the crankcase heater is energized for a minimum of four hours

Record the oil pressure gauge reading

Move the motor and sheave closer to the compressor until there is enough slack to remove the old belts

Clean the sheave groove if necessary with non-flammable, non-toxic degreasing agent or commercial detergent

Install new belts by rotating the belt and sheaves to obtain seating in the grooves

Check/adjust make-up water valve
