Ensure the circulator is turned off before starting lubrication.

Identify and locate the oil cups

Add oil to the bearing oil cups (2-3 teaspoonsful)

Add oil to the motor oil cups (10-12 drops)

Use No. 20 non-detergent motor oil for lubrication

Was the lubrication process completed successfully?

Inspect the low water cutoff for proper operation

Inspect other safety devices associated with the boiler

Flushing of Low Water Cutoff Device

Flush the low water cutoff device of the float type

Additional Inspection Considerations

Are more frequent inspections necessary based on water conditions?

Ensure the boiler is turned off and cooled down

Verify that all necessary cleaning solutions and tools are available

Drain the existing water from the system

Inspect for any visible contaminants or debris

Calculate the proper percentage of cleaning solution based on system water volume

Add the cleaning solution to the system

Turn off the electrical power, main manual gas shutoff, and pilot valves, if applicable.

Allow boiler parts and vent to cool before disassembly.

Remove the boiler draft diverter and vent pipe running to the chimney.

Check parts and chimney for obstructions and clean as necessary.

Remove burner from boiler and other metal parts as required to clean and vacuum the heat exchanger and combustion coils.

Refer to parts list supplied with this manual for disassembly aid.

Ensure the circulator pump is turned off

Verify that the oil tube is available and in good condition

Identify the oil cups to be lubricated

Add 2 or 3 teaspoons of No. 20 non-detergent motor oil to the pump oil cup

Add 10 or 12 drops of No. 20 non-detergent motor oil to each motor oil cup

Is there any oil leakage around the cups?
