Cleaning Solution Preparation
Add sufficient ice machine cleaner to the water tank
4000 Hourly Oil Repalcement
Oil Level Check and Adjustment
Check the oil level in the sight glass
Is the oil level below 1/4 of the sight glass?
Add two quarts of 300 S SU viscosity refrigeration oil if needed
Crankcase Heater and Oil Temperature
Has the crankcase heater been energized for at least four hours?
Check the oil temperature
Net Oil Pressure Check
Record the oil pressure gauge reading
Cutter Height Adjustment
Preparation
Ensure the cutter is powered off and secured
Gather necessary tools (straight edge, wrench, etc.)
Initial Measurement
Measure the length of the straight edge used (should be 30” for P24 and 40” for P34)
Check the clearance between the top of the cutter rim and the top of the water tank flange (should be 1/8” ± 1/16”)
Adjustment Process
Loosen the four side bolts holding the bearing bracket assembly
Is the cutter height within the specified range?
Drive Gear Replacement
Disconnect and lock-out all power to the machine
Remove the top and side bolts holding the mounting plate to the support bracket
Lift the plate and gear reducer from the bracket and rest the assembly on a stable work table
Inspect the drive gear teeth for proper vertical alignment and wear pattern
Measure the difference if wear pattern indicates less than a full width of tooth engagement
Record the dimension from the drive gear to the bottom side of the mounting plate
Remove the cap screws holding the drive gear to the split taper bushing
Jack the gear off the bushing and remove both from the gear reducer shaft
Clean the split bushing and tapered hole of the new drive gear
Initial 500 Hours Compressor Maintenance
Oil Maintenance

Check oil level in sight glass
Is the oil level below 1/4 of the sight glass?
Add two quarts of 300 S SU viscosity refrigeration oil if needed
Suction Strainer Maintenance
Clean suction strainer cloth
