At MaintainX, we believe small improvements add up to big operational wins.
This April, we enhanced the tools that teams already rely on every day—making them faster, smarter, and even more intuitive.
Whether you're streamlining preventive maintenance or enabling your frontline workforce, there’s something new to help you do it better.
Here’s a quick look at what’s new and what’s improved across the platform this month.
Smarter Scheduling and Execution for Work Orders
Managing work orders just got a whole lot more flexible.
- Calendar + Meter Recurrence: You can now plan your preventive maintenance based on whether a time or meter threshold is met, whichever comes first. For example, you can now easily trigger a lubrication work order either every 90 days OR every 1,000 machine cycles—whichever comes first. Currently in beta.
- Parent/Sub-Work Order Enhancements: Managing complex maintenance workflows is easier with new nested procedure previews, better validation during imports, and clearer export options. When managing a large PM shutdown, you can now preview all sub-work procedures tied to major assets and export parent/sub-work order relationships cleanly.
- Simplified Workflows: New confirmation popups and banners make it easier to see what’s happening across related tasks without losing momentum. For example, a banner now warns you if you're about to close a parent work order while sub-tasks are still incomplete.
Automations with Increased Precision
We’re making it easier to automate routine tasks and critical escalations, without sacrificing control.
- Archiving Intelligence: Automations now pause and resume intelligently when recurring work orders are archived or unarchived. For example, let's say you have seasonal maintenance tasks and you want to archive a task when it’s not required. That PM plan can now stay inactive until you're ready to bring it back next spring.
- Tighter Validation: Improvements to automation settings prevent errors when setting decimal-based triggers or building conditionals. You can now safely automate actions based on tiny shifts, like a 0.25 PSI pressure drop.
Mobile Upgrades for the Frontline
Mobile access remains a critical part of maintaining uptime, and we continue to make it even more effortless.
- Language expansion: Vietnamese and additional French translations are now available across mobile and web platforms.
- Improved offline handling: Better data persistence ensures technicians can continue working even without a steady connection.
- Smoother QR and barcode scanning: Experience faster, more reliable asset lookup directly from the field.
Admin and Platform Improvements
A great maintenance platform should fit your organization—not the other way around. We're expanding admin tools to give you more flexibility and insight where you need it.
- Granular Permissions: Ensure each team member has access to information they need, and nothing they don't. Learn more about Custom Roles.
- Audit and traceability enhancements: Additional audit log details around imports and exports help you keep a clean, verifiable record.
Onwards!
Every enhancement we make is about helping your team stay one step ahead—reducing downtime, boosting productivity, and making daily operations smoother.
