The more sites and systems you’re managing, the harder it is to turn your data into action. Reliability insights live in different places, and can’t be accessed quickly in the field.

Our latest releases have helped to close those gaps. In just the past month, we’ve expanded our OT Data Connectors, added new custom reporting capabilities, and made it easier to share equipment insights across sites—all with the goal of giving you better visibility into your equipment health.

Here's what's new in MaintainX.

Connect more machine data with Ignition 8.3 and Custom MQTT support

Getting real-time machine data into MaintainX shouldn't depend on which MQTT broker or Ignition version you’re using.

That’s why our OT Data Connectors now support Ignition 8.3 and Custom MQTT subscriptions, enabling data-driven maintenance strategies like usage-based and condition-based maintenance across a wider range of OT systems.

Both of our Ignition modules now support multi-site deployments, redundancy, and UDTs (User Defined Types). There’s also a new tag explorer that makes it easier for you to locate tag data and connect it to MaintainX.

Customers using the MQTT connector can now connect data from any MQTT broker, regardless of how its topics and payloads are structured.

Access repair insights across facilities with CoPilot Shared Assets

Every repair you complete should help your team act faster next time something goes wrong. But that knowledge rarely travels across facilities, even where similar machinery is being used—and your techs are left to start from scratch each time.

MaintainX CoPilot now connects knowledge across identical assets in different MaintainX organizations. So when technicians work on an asset that exists at another site, CoPilot uses work summaries and asset manuals from those facilities too, to give your techs more useful support with troubleshooting and repair.

This means technicians spend less time diagnosing problems that have already been solved elsewhere in the organization.

And it helps your procedures stay consistent across sites, since CoPilot references the same manuals and work order history regardless of who's asking.

CoPilot Shared Assets is available to all Enterprise customers with MaintainX CoPilot.

Report on meter data alongside the rest of your operation

Report Builder allows you to build specific custom reports by slicing and dicing your MaintainX data any way you like.

And we just added Meters and Meter Readings as available datasets, helping you track the performance of meter-based maintenance strategies.

Some examples of how you can create useful reports with this data include:

  • Identifying which assets are accumulating usage the fastest. Group meter readings by asset over a time period to see which equipment is being worked the hardest.
  • Spotting where teams aren't recording readings. Filter reading history by location, date range, and who entered the reading to find compliance gaps.
  • Catching abnormal conditions across a group of assets. See which assets have beenrunning hottest, at highest pressure, or furthest outside normal range.

Report Builder is available on the Enterprise plan.

Other updates driven by customer feedback

As always, your feedback was used to drive new features and improvements to the user experience across the MaintainX platform.

Including:

  • Global Work Order Fields allow global leaders to define which work order fields are required, and which custom fields exist, across all or select MaintainX organizations from a single place. This means no more batch requests to make a field required everywhere, and no more manually cloning custom fields site by site. This is available on Enterprise.
  • Work Order Summaries can now be typed, not just recorded. When you complete a work order, you can write your summary directly instead of recording a voice note. This provides the same contribution to your organization's knowledge base, just typed instead of spoken.
  • Sub-Work Orders now transfer across organizations with their Asset. When you transfer an asset that has sub-work orders to another organization, those sub-work orders move with it as standalone copies, and you can link them to a new or existing parent work order in the receiving organization to keep the parent-child relationship intact.
  • Our SAP Integration now has new documentation, providing additional support for connecting MaintainX with ECC, S/4HANA Cloud (both Private and Public Edition), and S/4HANA On-Premise. This gives you a clear overview of how the integration works, what's required, and what data syncs between systems.

To help you navigate the platform and better understand industry concepts, our technical writing also put together the MaintainX Glossary.
