Ensure pressure in the chamber is completely vented

Lock out or make non-operational the driving means

Identify the liquid the pump has been handling and obtain MSDS

Insert brass or plastic bar through port opening to lock shaft

Bend up tang of lockwasher and remove locknut and lockwasher

Remove brass or plastic bar from port opening

Loosen setscrews and remove bearing housing assembly

Ensure all pressure in the chamber has been vented through appropriate openings or connections.

Verify that the driving means has been locked out or made non-operational.

Confirm understanding of the liquid handled by the pump and obtain the material safety data sheet (MSDS) for safety precautions.

Refer to TSM for specific model series procedure on adjusting end clearance.

Has the end clearance been successfully adjusted?

Verify improved pump performance after adjustment.

Obtain and understand the material safety data sheet (MSDS) for the liquid

Carefully remove valve cap and loosen locknut

Install a pressure gauge in the discharge line

Adjust the pressure setting by turning the adjusting screw

Read safety information carefully

Ensure proper installation, operation, and maintenance of the pump

Apply external lubrication to all fittings

Check compatibility of grease thickener types

Replace idler bushing if necessary
