Is the idler bushing showing moderate wear?

Is the idler pin showing moderate wear?

Replace idler bushing if showing moderate wear

Replace idler pin if showing moderate wear

Oil Type and Quantity Verification

Select the oil type based on temperature conditions

Verify the oil quantity for each reducer size

Ensure reducers are shipped without oil

Fill each reducer to the proper level with the correct oil type and quantity

Drain the old lubricant after 100 hours of operation

Refill with new lubricant according to the specified type and quantity

Select the oil type based on temperature conditions

Enter the current lubricant level in the reducer

Is the lubricant level at the proper level?

Was additional oil added to reach the proper level?

Ensure you have multi-purpose grease, NLGI # 2

Verify compatibility of grease with Viking's standard grease thickener types

Apply external lubrication slowly with a hand gun to all lubrication fittings

Ensure all grease fittings are lubricated

Confirm lubrication was applied to each fitting

Record any issues or observations during lubrication
