Pre-Cleaning Safety Precautions

Unplug the computer before cleaning with liquids or damp cloths.

Wipe the unit with a clean, lint-free cloth after cleaning.

Disconnect the power cord and wait approximately 30 seconds for the power to drain.

Ensure you are discharged of static electricity by touching a grounded metal object.

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Loosen the thumbscrew on the rear of the computer.

Slide the panel forward and lift it off the computer.

Lift the tab on the outer edge of the fan and rotate the fan upward.

Ensure the computer is turned off and disconnected from AC power.

Discharge static electricity by touching a grounded metal object.

Ensure the computer is not exposed to temperatures higher than 60°C (140°F).

Prepare the computer for disassembly

Loosen the thumbscrew on the rear of the computer.

Slide the top cover panel forward and lift it off the computer.

Ensure no solvents or flammable solutions are used for cleaning.

Avoid immersing any parts in water or cleaning solutions.

Unplug the computer when cleaning with liquids or damp cloths.

Unplug the computer before cleaning the keyboard, mouse, or air vents.

Disconnect the keyboard before cleaning.
