Move the robot to its calibration position

Read the safety information regarding ESD sensitivity

Clean cover from metal residues before opening

Remove the SMB battery cover by unscrewing the attachment screws

Pull out the battery and disconnect the battery cable

Inspect that signal lamp is lit when motors are put in operation ('MOTORS ON')

Turn off hydraulic pressure supply

Inspect whether the signal lamp is broken

Replace the signal lamp if broken

Move the robot to its calibration position

Turn off all electric power supply

Turn off all hydraulic pressure supply

Turn off all air pressure supply

3.3.4 Inspecting, balancing device bearings and piston rod guide ring

Move axis 2 to calibration position

Remove locknuts (KM10), sealing rings and support washers

Fit the auxiliary shafts on upper and lower axes of balancing device

Remove the protection hood from the M12 hole on top of the balancing device

Unload the bearings using a M12x50 screw

Pull out the cylinder slightly to inspect inner rings

Turn off all supplies before entering the safeguarded space

Verify the protection type of the IRB 660 before cleaning

Ensure maximum water pressure at the nozzle is 700 kN/m2 (7 bar)

Ensure minimum distance from nozzle to encapsulation is 0.4 meters

Ensure maximum water flow is 20 liters/min

Ensure movable cables can move freely
