Apply external lubrication slowly with a handgun to all lubrication fittings using multi-purpose grease, NLGI # 2

Ensure not to over-grease during application

Note any specific lubrication questions for factory consultation

Check if application involves very high or low temperatures

Specify alternative lubrication type if required due to temperature conditions

Refer to Engineering Service Bulletin ESB-515 for detailed instructions

Ensure all pressure in the chamber is vented through appropriate openings or connections.

Lock out or make non-operational the driving means to prevent accidental start-up.

Identify the liquid handled by the pump and obtain the MSDS for safety precautions.

Allow pump to cool before starting disassembly.

Mark the head and casing for proper reassembly.

Remove the head from the pump, keeping the relief valve attached if present.
