Ensure the burner is turned off and cool before cleaning.

Gather necessary cleaning materials

Remove the burner grates from the stove.

Rinse the grates with hot water to remove loose debris.

Apply liquid detergent and scrub with a plastic pad or sponge.

Create a paste of baking soda and water for stubborn stains.

Use mild abrasive cleaners sparingly if necessary.

Ensure the burner cap is cool before cleaning

Remove the burner cap from the cooktop and place it on a flat surface near the sink

Wash the burner cap in warm water with liquid detergent or mild abrasive cleaners

Check for and remove any food residues that may pit or craze the surface

Ensure no food residues remain on the burner cap

Dry the burner cap thoroughly before reinstallation

Ensure the grate is cool before handling

Lift off the grate and set it in the sink

Pour very hot water over the cooked-on residue

Cover with wet dish towels and pour more hot water over it

Allow time for the hot, moist conditions to loosen the residue

Remove remaining soil with a soap-filled scouring pad

Use a metal spatula and scrape grease into the grease collection tray.

Wipe the surface with a paper towel to remove excess grease or oil after it has cooled.

Grease Collection Tray Maintenance

Clean grease collection tray after each use.

Ensure grease does not accumulate in the tray to prevent fire hazards.

Remove the drip tray by gently pulling it towards yourself.

Clean drip tray with soapy water and a clean cloth.

Ensure all gas valves are turned off

Prepare a solution of liquid detergent and water

Apply detergent solution to the following connections and check for bubbles

Did any bubbles appear indicating a leak?

Shut off the gas valve immediately

Adjust connections to stop the leak
