O-Pro Barrier Seal Replacement
Safety Precautions
Ensure all safety measures are in place before starting
Removal of O-Pro™ Barrier Seal
Insert length of hardwood or brass through port opening to keep shaft from turning
Bend up tang of lockwasher and remove locknut and lockwasher from shaft
Loosen set screws in the face of the bearing housing and remove the bearing housing assembly
Remove the pair of half round rings under the inner spacer collar from the shaft (K, KK, L, LQ, LL, and LS sizes only)
Loosen the gland nuts securing the O-Pro™ Barrier and remove the T-bolts
Thread the jack bolts into the tapped holes and remove the O-Pro™ Barrier
Initial Pump Alignment Check
Check Alignment After Mounting
Ensure pump ports are square and in proper position
Shim or move the pump as required
Was piping forced to line up with the ports?
Flexible Coupling Alignment Check
Remove any coupling guards or covers
Is the alignment of the coupling halves correct using a straightedge?
V-Belt Alignment Check
Is the alignment of the V-belts correct using a long straightedge or tightly drawn string?
Cartridge Mechanical Seal Replacement
Safety Precautions
Ensure the following safety measures are in place before starting
Removal: Cartridge Mechanical Seal
Insert brass or plastic bar through port opening between rotor teeth to keep shaft from turning.
Bend up tang of lockwasher and remove locknut and lockwasher from shaft using a spanner wrench.
Loosen two set screws in the face of the bearing housing and remove the bearing housing assembly from the bracket.
Remove the pair of half round rings under the inner spacer collar from the shaft (AK, AL, K, KK, L, LQ, LL, LS sizes only).
Remove any flush or barrier fluid tubes connected to the seal gland.
Replace or turn centering clips to original position.

Removal of Component Mechanical Seal
Insert brass or plastic bar through port opening to keep shaft from turning
Bend up tang of lockwasher and remove locknut and lockwasher from shaft
Loosen set screws in the face of the bearing housing and remove the bearing housing assembly
Remove the pair of half round rings from the shaft (AK, AL, K, KK, L, LQ, LL, LS sizes only)
Loosen nuts and remove seal holder, seal seat and seal gasket(s)
Loosen setscrews in mechanical seal rotary member
