Ensure all parts are clean from contaminants

Prepare suitable containers to collect fluids

Refer to NENG2500 for tools and supplies

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations

Use Tool (A) to remove fuel filter (3) from fuel filter base (2)

Remove banjo bolts (1) and copper washers to disconnect fuel lines (4) from fuel filter base (2)

Cap or plug all openings immediately to prevent contamination

NOTICE: Keep all parts clean from contaminants.

Ensure all parts are clean from contaminants

Place the fuel return line (10) in position on the engine.

Connect fitting (9) of the fuel return line to the fuel injection pump.

Install the washer and bolt (8) through the clamp to secure the fuel return line to the inlet manifold.

Install the fuel return line (10) to the fuel injection nozzles.

Secure the fuel return line to the fuel injection nozzle with acorn nuts (7).

Fuel Injection Lines Installation

NOTICE: Keep all parts clean from contaminants. Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Place the fuel filter base in position on the fuel filter bracket.

Install the washers and bolts that secure the fuel filter base to the fuel filter bracket.

Install the banjo bolts and new copper washers to connect the fuel lines to the fuel filter base.

Install the fuel filter to the fuel filter base if it was removed.

Tighten the fuel filter by hand according to the instructions on the fuel filter. Do not overtighten.

Ensure all parts are clean from contaminants

Prepare suitable containers to collect fluids

Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations

Remove the following components

Disconnect the fuel injection lines from the fuel injection nozzles

Cap or plug all openings to prevent contamination
