Close main manual shut-off valve

Open the union fitting upstream of the unit gas valve and downstream from the main manual shut-off valve

Remove screws holding each end of the manifold to the manifold supports

Disconnect wiring to the gas valve

Remove the manifold & gas valve assembly

Use a special pipe dope for assembling wrought iron or steel pipe

Clean all piping of dirt and scale by hammering on the outside of the pipe

Blow out loose particles from the pipe

Have all gas lines external to the unit been purged of air?

Ensure ZX units are properly phased at the factory

Is the blower rotating in the correct direction at start-up?

Electrical Connection Adjustment

Is the electrical connection to the unit misphased?

Change the phasing of the Field Line Connection at the factory or field supplied disconnect to obtain proper rotation

Caution for High-Leg Delta Power Supply

Ensure high-leg conductor is not attached to X13 or ECM motors

Check voltage of A or L1 phase to ground

Loosen the three nuts (A and B on side and C on back) of motor mount slide plate.

Adjust tension by placing a flat head screwdriver into the belt tightening slots and applying pressure against the motor mounting plate.

Tighten the three loosened nuts (A, B and C).

Determine the deflection distance from normal position using a straight edge from sheave to sheave as reference line.

Use belt tension checker to apply a perpendicular force to the belt at the midpoint of the span and measure the deflection distance.

Is the deflection distance 4mm (5/32")?

Review installation for errors, leaks, or undesirable system effects

Is the current blower speed causing any issues?

Enter the existing datum diameter (DD)

Calculate the new datum diameter (DD) using the formula: (Required CFM/Measured CFM)*Existing DD
