Clean all piping of dirt and scale by hammering on the outside of the pipe.

Blow out loose particles from the piping.

Have all gas lines external to the unit been purged of air before initial start-up?

Loosen the three nuts (A and B on side and C on back) of motor mount slide plate.

Adjust tension by placing a flat head screwdriver into the belt tightening slots and applying pressure against the motor mounting plate.

Tighten the three loosened nuts (A, B and C).

Determine the deflection distance from normal position using a straight edge from sheave to sheave as reference line.

Use belt tension checker to apply a perpendicular force to the belt at the midpoint of the span and measure deflection distance.

Is the deflection distance 4mm (5/32")?

Close main manual shut-off valve

Open the union fitting upstream of the unit gas valve

Remove screws holding manifold to supports

Disconnect wiring to the gas valve

Remove manifold & gas valve assembly

Review installation for errors, leaks, or undesirable system effects

Are there any installation errors or leaks?

Are there any undesirable system effects?

Ensure only qualified personnel make blower speed changes

Calculate new datum diameter (DD) using the formula: (Required CFM/Measured CFM)*Existing DD=New DD

Enter the new datum diameter (DD)

Gas Connection and Pressure Check

Open the main shut-off valve to admit normal gas pressure to the mains.

Check all joints for leaks using a soap solution or other suitable material. NEVER USE A FLAME.
