Gas Connection and Pressure Check

Open the main shut-off valve to admit normal gas pressure to the mains.

Check all joints for leaks using a soap solution or other suitable material.

Review installation for errors, leaks, or undesirable system effects

Are there any installation errors, leaks, or undesirable system effects?

Describe the installation errors, leaks, or undesirable system effects found

Enter the measured CFM at unit start-up

Enter the existing datum diameter (DD) of the variable pitch motor sheave

Calculate the new datum diameter (DD) using the formula: (Required CFM/Measured CFM)*Existing DD

Verify that the unit is properly phased at the factory.

Is the blower rotating in the correct direction?

Is the compressor rotating in the correct direction?

Measure the amperage of the scroll compressor.

Is the scroll compressor drawing low amperage?

Are the suction and discharge pressures similar?

Is the scroll compressor producing a high noise level?

Is the smoke detector within the operational temperature range (-4°F to 158°F)?

Are the holes of the sampling tube facing into the air stream?

Is the far-end of the sampling tube sealed with the plastic end cap?

Measure the pressure differential across the smoke detector's sampling and exhaust ports.

Pre-replacement Safety Measures

Close main manual shut-off valve

Open the union fitting upstream of the unit gas valve and downstream from the main manual shut-off valve

Remove screws holding each end of the manifold to the manifold supports

Disconnect wiring to the gas valve

Remove the manifold & gas valve assembly
