Safety Information
Read and understand the safety information before proceeding
Ensure pump is turned off and disconnected from power source
Check that all safety equipment is in place
Inspect the pump for any visible damage
Clean the exterior of the pump
Check that all grease fittings are clean and accessible
Inspect and clean the pump's internal components
Remove any debris from the pump housing

Ensure driving means is locked out or made non-operational

Install a pressure gauge in the discharge line
Adjust the pressure setting using the adjusting screw

Insert brass or plastic bar through port opening to lock shaft
Bend up tang of lockwasher and remove locknut and lockwasher
Remove brass or plastic bar from port opening
Loosen setscrews and remove bearing housing assembly

Ensure any pressure in the chamber has been completely vented
Lock out or make non-operational the driving means
Identify the liquid the pump has been handling and understand necessary precautions
Obtain and review the material safety data sheet (MSDS) for the liquid
Thrust Bearing Adjustment
Loosen the two set screws in the outer face of the bearing housing and rotate the bearing housing clockwise until it cannot be turned anymore
Make a mark on the outside diameter of the bearing housing and a corresponding mark on the pump bracket
Make another mark on the pump bracket per 'Table 4' on page 14 and rotate the bearing housing counter clockwise until the marks align
