Disconnect, lockout and tagout the unit from the power supply

Remove the relief plug and free hole of hardened grease

Add grease with a hand-operated grease gun

Leave the relief plug temporarily off

Raise system operating pressure to 75% of the relief valve set pressure

Manually open the relief valve with the hand lever and hold for a few seconds

Check shutdowns for proper operation

Place a bright light inside the filter element for inspection

Check for rupture, crack, or pin hole in the pleated media

Measure the pressure drop through the filter with a freshly cleaned element

Is the pressure drop below three (3) inches (76 mm) of water with the compressor running at full load?

Enter the number of times the filter element has been cleaned

Has the filter element been cleaned six (6) times or more?

Ensure the unit is completely off and no air pressure is in the oil reservoir

Disconnect, tag and lockout power supply to the starter

Remove screws holding the top plate to the separator housing

Lift the top plate from the separator housing

Lift the separator from the separator housing

Separator Inspection and Replacement

Inspect the separator for damage

Is the 'CHANGE AIR FILTER' LED illuminated?

Ensure genuine Gardner Denver air filter elements are available.

Unfasten the clips and pull out the filter element.

Does the filter element require cleaning?

Soak the element in warm water with mild non-sudsing detergent for 15 minutes.
