Use appropriate safety equipment, including hearing and eye protection.

Ensure all safety precautions are followed when performing the PRV check.

Testing the Pressure Relief Valve

Test the valve using one of the following methods

Note any local legislation considerations during testing.

Did the pressure relief valve close itself and is not leaky?

If the valve is defective, close the doors of the compressor and push the Stop Button.

Shut down the compressor and relieve the system of all pressure

Disconnect, lockout, and tagout the power supply to the compressor package

Ensure no air/oil under pressure remains in the system

Switch off the compressor and ensure it is depressurized by opening the ball valve at the after-cooler

Detach the plastic oil extraction pipe

Detach the plastic control air line

Fully remove oil extraction with pressed in extraction tube

Ensure the compressor is not powered before starting maintenance.

For L90RS-L132RS models, disconnect the system from the mains and wait 10 minutes before touching electrical components.

Press the STOP button on the control panel and wait until the compressor stops and is depressurized.

Verify the pressure gauge shows no more than 4.4 PSI.

Relieve the compressor unit by slowly opening the screw plug with integrated air vent slots.

Set the on-site main switch to '0' (OFF) and secure it against being switched on.

Check for dirt accumulation on the following components

Ensure the compressor is not powered before starting maintenance.

For L90RS-L132RS models, disconnect the system from the mains and wait 10 minutes before touching electrical components.

Press the STOP button on the control panel and wait until the compressor stops and is depressurized.

Verify the pressure gauge shows no more than 4.4 PSI.

Open the screw plug with integrated air vent slots to relieve any residual pressure.

Set the on-site main switch to '0' (OFF) and secure it against being switched on.

Be cautious of hot surfaces when performing maintenance.

Shut down the compressor and relieve the system of all pressure

Disconnect, lockout, and tagout the power supply to the compressor package

Ensure no oil is spilled during the procedure

Remove oil residue and other deposits from the compressor coolers

Inspect for leaks and address any spilled oil immediately

Turn off the screw compressor unit and secure it against accidental restarts

Ensure the demister vessel is depressurized
