2000 Hourly Supply Fans Bearings Lubrication
Preparation
Ensure the motor is warm but not running.
Grease Plug Removal and Cleaning
Remove the upper grease plug.
Remove the lower grease plug.
Clean the upper and lower grease plugs.
Grease Application
Insert a grease fitting into the upper hole.
Add a small amount of clean grease with a low pressure gun.
Rooftop System Cleaning
Preparation
Gain access to the energy recovery wheel
Remove segments from the energy recovery wheel
Cleaning Process
Brush foreign material from the face of the wheel
Prepare a 5% solution of non-acid based coil cleaner or alkaline detergent with warm water
Soak segments in the cleaning solution until grease and tar deposits are loosened
Rapidly run finger across surface of segment to separate polymer strips for better cleaning action
Rinse dirty solution from segment
Belt Replacement
Access and Preparation
Obtain access to the pulley side bearing access plate and remove two retaining screws.
Using a hexagonal wrench, loosen the screw in the bearing lock collar.
Collar and Bearing Removal
Using a light hammer and drift, tap collar in the direction of wheel rotation to unlock collar. Remove collar.
Using a socket wrench with extension, remove two nuts which secure bearing housing to the bearing support beam.
Slide bearing from shaft.
Seal and Belt Removal
Using a wrench, remove the diameter seal retaining screws. Remove diameter seals from bearing beam.
Optional Electric Heater Maintenance
WARNING: Hazardous voltage
Measure continuity through all fuses
Check that all electrical connections are tight
Look for signs of arcing
Check the resistance to ground for each circuit
Check the resistance phase to phase for each circuit
Check all contactors
