Enter the altitude of the site over sea level into the controller MB1

Press the 'menu' button to enter the CB-Menu

Enter the user code (factory setting: 00001)

Enter the altitude value in meters [m] into the field 'Enter setpoint'

Confirm with ENTER and leave the menu with EXIT

Incubate an empty sample with medium for 1/2 day under the same conditions as the cells

Perform incubation in a cell culture bottle or in a 50 ml Falcon tube with open lid

After gassing, remove the empty sample from the incubator

Measure the pH-value with a glass electrode within 5 minutes of removal

Did you use pH-test strips (pH range 6 to 8, not bleeding)?

Break off both ends of the glass tube or remove the plugs

Pin the end with the higher end of the scale to the adapter of the hand pump

Ensure CO2 sensor is not exposed to hot-air sterilization

Ensure CO2 sensor head is not changed

Note down the serial number of the CO2 sensor

Check safety controller settings to 'Offset' 2°C or 'Limit' 189.5°C

Remove protective lamination sheet from inner metal surfaces

Pull out the CO2 sensor without rotating and remove it from the inner chamber

Remove the oxygen sensor from its socket

Place the oxygen sensor on the middle shelf of the sterilization chamber

Is the O2 sensor unplugged before starting the sterilization process?

Start the hot air sterilization process

Allow the O2 sensor to cool down before handling

Reinstall the oxygen sensor into its socket

Unlock the keyboard locking (option, chap. 9.7)

Access the menu 'User Level' and select the submenu 'Safety controller'

Select the safety controller set point type

Enter the value for 'Limit' or 'Offset' in the field 'Setpoint'

Lock the keyboard locking (option, chap. 9.7)

Ensure the temperature unit remains in °C
