Loosen the jack bolt lock nuts by turning counterclockwise.

Loosen the jack bolts to relieve belt tension.

Belt Removal and Installation

Motor Replacement

Check mark

Turn off all electrical power to the unit and use approved lockout/tagout procedures on all electrical power sources.

Check mark

Remove the cover on the motor connection box.

Check mark

Disconnect all electrical leads to the motor.

Check mark

Loosen the two jack bolt jamnuts on the motor mounting bracket.

Check mark

Turn the two jack bolts counterclockwise until the motor assembly moves closer to the blower pulley.

Check mark

Remove the V-belt from the blower pulley and motor pulley.

Check mark

Equipment Damage Hazard

Loosen the four mounting bracket bolts and lock washers.

Check mark

Remove four bolts, four flat washers, four lock washers and four nuts attaching the motor mounting plate to the unit. Discard all lock washers.

Return Air Filters Maintenance

Access the return air filters through the lift-out panel above the evaporator/return air access panel.

Are the return air filters disposable fiberglass media type?

Check mark

Clean or replace the return air filters as necessary.

Ensure all panels are securely replaced.

Gas Train Replacement

Shut off the gas using the manual shutoff switch located in the gas supply line

Check mark

Turn the gas valve ON/OFF knob to the OFF position

Check mark

Shut off power to the unit and install a lockout tag

Check mark

Disconnect the gas piping at the unit gas valve

Check mark

Remove the wires connected to the gas valve

Check mark

Mark each wire to assist in reconnecting power to the gas valve

Check mark

Remove the igniter wires and sensor wires at the Integrated Gas Unit Controller (IGC)

Check mark

Remove the 2 screws that attach the burner rack to the vestibule plate

Check mark

Slide the burner tray out of the unit
