Check the following heating components

Describe any issues found during inspection

Were all components functioning properly after inspection?

Shut off all electrical power supply to the unit and install a lockout tag.

Close the manual gas shutoff valve located on the gas supply line.

Remove the manifold pressure tap plug from the manifold and connect a pressure gauge or manometer.

Open the manual shutoff valve, then turn on the unit main gas valve.

Set the room thermostat to call for heat.

Turn the key switch to the RESET/TEST position for seven seconds

Verify that the test/reset station’s Alarm LED turns on

Reset the sensor by turning the key switch to the RESET/TEST position for two seconds

Verify that the test/reset station’s Alarm LED turns off

Select tool for removing surface loaded fibers

Apply tool in the direction of the fins

Routine Cleaning of Evaporator Coil Surfaces

Remove all surface loaded fibers and dirt with selected tool

Thoroughly wet finned surfaces with clean water and a low velocity garden hose

Mix Totaline coil cleaner in a 2−1/2 gallon garden sprayer

Hold the test magnet on the sensor housing for two seconds

Did the sensor’s Dirty LED flash?
