Refer to Technical Reference for recommended vacuum pump oil

Exhaust Smoke Eliminator Filter Replacement

Enter the back pressure reading in psi

Is the back pressure more than 3 psi above the nominal running pressure?

Replace the exhaust smoke eliminator filter if necessary

Refer to the service manual for filter replacement instructions

Verify that the pump is powered off and all power is removed from the driver.

Drain any product from the pump by opening the volute and discharge non-return drain valves.

Disconnect the pump from the suction and the discharge piping.

Inspect the pump and remove all dirt and debris.

Visually inspect the volute from the suction flange for any obstructions and remove as needed.

Has the compressor been in operation recently?

Allow the compressor to cool if it was recently in operation

Fill the oil sump with a replacement lubricant

Refill with the correct grade of oil

Check for any oil leaks after refilling

Describe any issues encountered during maintenance

Inspection of Compressor Components

Inspect the following components for any issues

Examine the compressor air filter for excessive dirt

Drive Belt Check (if applicable)

Is the compressor external to the driver?

Check the drive belt condition and tension

Was the drive belt tension adjusted?
