Verify that the motor is powered off and all power sources are removed

Check that the interior and exterior of the motor is free of dirt, oil, grease, water, and other matter

Ensure motor ventilation is not blocked by debris such as oily vapor, paper pulp, or textile lint

Check all combinations phase to phase with a continuity meter

Is there any variance of 10% or greater in phase to phase continuity?

Measure the motor winding insulation resistance of each phase with a mega-ohm meter

Record the insulation resistance readings of each phase

Compare the insulation resistance readings of each phase

Check for the feed of oil through the sight glass

Remove the battery cables from the terminals and tie the cables together

Drain the engine oil and remove the old oil filter

Write the current engine hour meter value on the new filter

Refer to the engine manufacturer’s manual for the correct oil and quantity

Disconnect the oil return pipe from the base of the air compressor

Refill with the correct grade of oil

Check for any oil leaks after refilling

Verify the gearbox is operating smoothly without unusual noises

Record any observations or issues encountered during maintenance

Check the condition of the air filter

Inspect the float assembly for wear and damage

Inspect the shaft bearings for wear and damage

Were any components of the float assembly or shaft bearings replaced?
