Shut off all electrical power supply to the unit and install a lockout tag.

Close the manual gas shutoff valve located on the gas supply line.

Remove the manifold pressure tap plug from the manifold and connect a pressure gauge or manometer.

Open the manual shutoff valve, then turn on the unit main gas valve.

Set the room thermostat to call for heat.

Inspection of Air Hood Inlet Screens

Check the following for cleanliness

Cleaning of Air Hood Inlet Screens

Remove the screens for cleaning

Clean screens with hot low-pressure water and soft detergent

Replace all screens before restarting the unit

Did you observe the flow direction arrows on the side of each filter frame?

Hold the test magnet where indicated on the side of the sensor housing for two seconds

Verify that the sensor’s Dirty LED flashes

Hold the test magnet where indicated on the side of the sensor housing for seven seconds

Verify that the sensor’s Alarm LED turns on

Reset the sensor by holding the test magnet against the sensor housing for two seconds

Verify that the sensor’s Alarm LED turns off

Describe any issues encountered during the test

Outdoor hood inlet filters cleaned

Fan shaft bearing locking collar tightness checked
