Use a thin, flat bladed screwdriver to carefully pry the old seal out

Place the drive washer and the new seal over the seal protector

Remove the cone-shaped end from the seal protector tool

Slide the tool, drive washer, and new seal over the drive shaft up to the seal cavity

Remove the transmission from the washer cabinet

Remove the cams, drive pulley, and brake assembly

Remove the three screws securing the suspension housing to the lower bearing assembly

Bearing Removal

Slip the pipe and cap assembly over the drive shaft and up against the drive tube

Use a puller with at least a 3 1/2 inch spread to remove the lower bearing assembly
