Fuse Replacement
Preparation
Ensure the vehicle ignition switch is OFF
Disconnect the electrical connections to the snowplow
Identify the Fuse
Identify the type of hydraulic unit harness system
Locate the mini fuses in the harness system

Shoe Adjustment
Safety Precautions
Ensure blade is placed on jack stands to prevent unexpected drops.
Do not store unused spacers on top of the shoe holder to avoid blade damage.
Shoe Adjustment for Different Surfaces
Select the surface type for adjustment
Blade and Shoe Adjustment
Raise the blade 1 foot off the road surface and turn the control OFF.
Place jack stands under the cutting edge from in front of the blade.
Turn the control ON and lower the blade onto the jack stands or blocking.
Hose / Fitting Replacement
Safety Precautions
Lower the blade when the vehicle is parked and ensure 8' clearance from the blade.
Ensure temperature changes do not affect hydraulic pressure.
Preparation
Lower the snowplow completely and turn the control OFF.
Loosen fill plug slowly to relieve any pressure in the reservoir.
Hose and Fitting Removal
Carefully note hose routings and positions of protective hose wraps for proper reassembly.
Loosen hoses or fittings slowly to relieve any residual pressure.
Blade Drop Speed Adjustment
Safety Precautions
Ensure 8' clearance from the blade when it is being raised, lowered, or angled.
Do not stand between vehicle and blade or directly in front of the blade.
Preparation
Lower the blade to the ground before making the adjustment.
Remove the hydraulic unit cover. For XtremeV™, XV2™, and XLS™ hydraulic units: Raise the top cover retainer, remove the bottom cover retainer, and remove the rear cover.
Adjustment
Adjust the quill in the valve manifold to set the blade drop speed.
Verification
Preseason Snowplow Check
WARNING: Lower the blade when the vehicle is parked. Keep 8' clear of the blade. Temperature changes could change hydraulic pressure, causing the blade to drop unexpectedly, or damaging hydraulic components. Failure to do this could result in serious personal injury.
Electrical System Check
Clean all electrical connections
Tighten all electrical connections
Coat electrical connections with dielectric grease to prevent corrosion
Hydraulic System Maintenance
Check hydraulic system for leaks
Inspect hydraulic hoses for cracks or damage
Drain hydraulic system
