Fisher Snowplow 6'9" SD

Ensure snowplow is installed correctly

Reinstall and tighten fasteners

Verify cutting edge contact during wing movement

Is the vehicle ignition switch OFF?

Identify the type of hydraulic unit harness system

Identify the harness and port containing the fuse

Enter the amperage rating of the original fuse

Install a new fuse with the same type and amperage rating

Electrical Plug Connection Check

Are all electrical plugs connected?

Do vehicle headlamps function normally when electrical plugs are disconnected?

Do vehicle headlamp functions transfer to the snowplow headlamps when electrical plugs are connected?

On DRL systems, do both vehicle and snowplow headlamps function when electrical plugs are connected?

Ensure blade is placed on jack stands to prevent unexpected drops.

Do not store unused spacers on top of the shoe holder to avoid blade damage.

Shoe Adjustment for Different Surfaces

Select the surface type for adjustment

Blade and Shoe Adjustment Procedure

Raise the blade 1 foot off the road surface and turn the control OFF.

Place jack stands under the cutting edge from in front of the blade.

Turn the control ON and lower the blade onto the jack stands or blocking.

WARNING: Lower the blade when the vehicle is parked. Keep 8' clear of the blade. Temperature changes could change hydraulic pressure, causing the blade to drop unexpectedly, or damaging hydraulic components. Failure to do this could result in serious personal injury.

Clean all electrical connections

Tighten all electrical connections

Coat electrical connections with dielectric grease to prevent corrosion

Check hydraulic system for leaks

Inspect hydraulic hoses for cracks or damage
