1 Weekly Slit Lamp Cleaning
Preparation
Ensure the device is turned off and unplugged
Gather ready-for-use disposable 70% ethanol disinfectant wipes or surface-friendly disinfectants such as Kohrsolin FF
Cleaning Procedure
Wipe down the Haag-Streit slit lamps and accessories with disinfectant wipes
Ensure no liquid penetrates the device
Wring out any soaked cloths before use
Avoid using sprays
Comply with the stipulated exposure time for disinfectants
Slit Lamp Inspection
Initial Setup
Insert the test rod into the radial movement bearing and align it at a right angle to the microscope.
Slit Lamp Configuration
Set the slit length
Set the illumination intensity to 50%.
Set the magnification in the microscope to maximum.
Eyepiece Adjustment
Adjust the eyepieces to bring the test rod into sharp focus by turning the ocular from (+) to (-).
