Shoe Adjustment
Safety Precautions
Ensure blade is placed on jack stands to prevent unexpected drops.
Confirm no unused spacers are stored on top of the shoe holder.
Shoe Adjustment for Gravel Surfaces
Ensure the bottom surface of the shoe is 1/4" to 1/2" below the cutting edge.
Shoe Adjustment for Hard Surfaces
Ensure the bottom surface of the shoe is even with the cutting edge.
Blade and Shoe Adjustment Procedure
Raise the blade 1 foot off the road surface and turn the control OFF.
Cutting Edge Wear / Leveling Adjustment
Ensure snowplow is installed correctly
Place blade wings in scoop position
Adjust T-frame fasteners
Remove rear push assembly to T-frame fasteners
Loosen front fasteners to allow blade leveling
Select best aligned hole in T-frame and reinstall rear fasteners
Tighten all four fasteners to 250 ft-lb
Test blade movement and contact
Raise and lower the blade several times
Postseason Snowplow Maintenance
Safety Precautions
Ensure trip springs are serviced by authorized personnel only
Coat all electrical connections with dielectric grease
Blade and Attachments Maintenance
Clean the blade and attachments
Paint the blade and attachments as needed
Lift Ram Maintenance
Is the lift ram fully collapsed?
Apply petroleum grease to exposed chrome surfaces of the rams
Scrape Lock Adjustment
Preparation
Park the vehicle on a smooth, level, hard surface, such as concrete.
Lower the blade to the ground and turn the control OFF.
Leave the snowplow attached to the vehicle.
Turn the vehicle ignition to the 'OFF' position.
Initial Setup
Disconnect the snowplow battery cable from the vehicle battery cable.
Remove the hydraulic unit cover.
Loosen the breather/fill plug slowly to relieve any pressure in the reservoir.
Blade Adjustment
Loosen and Remove Fasteners
Loosen the lower quadrant 1" locknuts (DO NOT REMOVE)
Remove the upper quadrant 3/4" locknuts, washers, and cap screws
Align the desired attack angle holes in the quadrant and blade
Reinstall the upper quadrant fasteners on both sides of the quadrant
Torque Fasteners
Torque lower 1" locknuts to 764 ft-lb
Torque upper 3/4" locknuts to 269 ft-lb
