3200-902 Lubrication Instructions — Oil Lubricated Frame Pumps

Verify frame size and oil capacity

Enter the current oil level in quarts

Is the oil level at the required level when the pump is not operating?

Add oil through the pipe plug opening at the top of the housing

Measure the bearing frame temperature at the drain connection

Select the oil type based on temperature

Ensure no dirt and moisture enter during oil addition

Check the view gauge on the side of the frame for oil level indication

3200-992 Cutter Modification Kit — Adjusting

Ensure all safety precautions are in place

Disconnect external connections to gain access to suction inlet of pump

Isolate and lockout all power to the pump and motor

Remove the coupling guard to allow manual rotation of the pump

Loosen cap screws holding stationary cutter plate to volute casing or suction cover

Bottom out the stationary cutter plate to the rotating cutter ring

Set stationary cutter plate to rotating cutter ring clearance

Check clearances in at least three locations

Ensure all lip seals are present in the bearing covers

Locate grease fittings on the bearing covers at both ends of the frame

Apply a small amount of multiple-purpose grease to each grease fitting

Is the lubrication process complete for both ends of the frame?

Ensure the pump is not operating before starting the oil change.

Check the serial number plate for a 'K' to confirm oil lubrication.

Remove the pipe plug at the bottom of the housing to drain old oil.

Ensure all old oil has been completely drained.

Enter the oil capacity required for frame size F16K (quarts).

Inspect balance lines for issues

Are all balance lines in good condition?

Replace any damaged balance lines or wear rings if necessary
