Verify all valves in the reverse circulation line are fully open

Is the correct restriction orifice properly installed in the reverse circulation line?

Enter the current reverse circulation flow rate

Is the reverse circulation flow rate within the specified range?

Adjust valve to set reverse circulation flow at the specified flow rate for R & RA-type pumps, if no orifice is used

Set overload relay at rated current indicated on the nameplate

Ensure overload relay is set as close to actual operating conditions as possible

Confirm relay setting does not exceed the nameplate full load rating

Determine relay setting based on voltage & load variation

Confirm relay setting is for initial commissioning

Shut all valves after stopping the pump

Drain the entire pump and connected piping

Ensure pump only contains liquid before restarting if liquid could freeze or crystallize

Confirm if the pump is removed from service for an extended period

Shaft Sleeve (17) and Thrust Collar (18) Inspection

Inspect shaft sleeve (17) and thrust collar (18) for contact marks or wear

Are there any other contact marks or wear?

Filter and Circulation Pipe Inspection

Inspect Filter (03) for blockages or clogs

Inspect Circulation Pipe (34) for blockages or clogs

Does this apply to F and FA plan pumps with circulation pipe construction?
