Pump Discharge Pressure Inspection
Operation Details
Check discharge pressure frequently during operation
Ensure pressure is stable in a non-variable closed loop
Check motor amps at normal operations
Verify motor amps are within the expected range
Confirm pump is not operating above the rated full load amps listed on the nameplate
Check for excessive air or vapor in the liquid supply
Stop the pump and vent all accumulated vapor if large fluctuations are observed in the discharge pressure gauge
Stop the pump if any abnormal noise or vibration is observed and check for possible causes (see Appendix A: Troubleshooting)
Shaft Sleeve and Thrust Collar Inspection
Shaft Sleeve (17) and Thrust Collar (18) Inspection
Inspect for contact marks or wear

General Inspection

Ensure all parts are fastened correctly
Check the tightness of every fastener
Re-tighten all bolts before use

Does this apply to F and FA plan pumps with circulation pipe construction?
Pump Maintenance
6.1 Disassembly
Ensure all safety precautions are followed
Remove Drain Plug (59) or open drain valve to drain the liquid in the pump
Check for high pressure buildup before opening Air Vent Valve (36)
Remove Circulation Pipe (34) or heat exchanger (B-type)
Insert support under Casing (01) to relieve stress from piping
Remove fixing Bolt (46B) or (46C) of Casing (01) for back pullout disassembly
Remove Bolt (46D) and slide the pump backward on the Base (40)
