Check wear rings for damage or excessive wear

Inspect balance lines for obstructions

Ensure balance lines are not pinched, bent, or corroded

Replace balance lines if necessary

Is the leakage reducing to almost zero?

Examine the assembly for proper seal installation if leakage persists

Purge air from upper circulation hose

Check for water accumulation in the reservoir

Check fluid level depletion rate

Indicate potential mechanical seal failure

Ensure the pump is not operating before starting the oil change.

Check the serial number plate for a 'K' to confirm oil lubrication.

Remove the pipe plug at the bottom of the housing to drain old oil.

Ensure all old oil has been completely drained.

Measure 2 quarts of turbine oil (ISO VG32 or ISO VG68 depending on temperature).

Locate grease fittings in the bearing cover at both ends of the frame

Apply a small amount of multiple-purpose grease to each grease fitting
