How it works

STEP 1:

Connect with your dedicated account representative to understand your existing workflows and objectives for integrating Salesforce and MaintainX.

STEP 2:

To fully understand the scope of the integration, a MaintainX integration consultant will meet with your IT team, Salesforce administrators, and other key stakeholders that you’d like to include. Example topics to explore are: Requirements, constraints, deliverables, cost, and timing. This information and the cost will be documented in a statement of work for your review.

STEP 3:

If you decide to move forward, your MaintainX integration consultant will configure the integration alongside your IT team and Salesforce administrators. This will be done in a sandbox environment that will not affect your daily operations or live instances of Salesforce or MaintainX.

STEP 4:

Test the integration with your team. Start developing internal training material to set your users up for success.

STEP 5:

The MaintainX–Salesforce integration will go live with automated syncing of vendors, locations, and other operational data.

The integration syncs Salesforce Locations (properties & units) and Contacts (suppliers) with MaintainX Locations and Vendors. Work Orders closed in MaintainX are logged as Cases in Salesforce. Additional fields and objects can be mapped based on your workflow needs.

How often does data sync if I integrate MaintainX with Salesforce?

Data syncs are triggered in real-time. For example, when a Salesforce Location or Contact is created/updated, or when a Work Order is completed in MaintainX.

Will the Salesforce integration work for my industry?

Yes. MaintainX supports custom field mappings, logic branching, and filters for workflows tailored to manufacturing, field service, facilities management, and more.

Does the Salesforce integration support sub-locations or units?

Yes. Salesforce Units can be mapped as sub-locations in MaintainX, supporting hierarchical asset and facility structures.
