Ensure the light bulbs are cool before replacement.

Handle halogen bulbs by their plastic or metal case only.

Avoid touching the glass part of the bulb with bare hands.

Is the vehicle equipped with a 1GR−FE engine?

Release the clips of the air cleaner filter cover.

Remove both the cover and filter.

Ensure the vehicle has been parked for at least 3 hours and has not been driven for more than 1.5 km or 1 mile.

Measure the tire pressure of the front left tire.

Measure the tire pressure of the front right tire.

Measure the tire pressure of the rear left tire.

Measure the tire pressure of the rear right tire.

Measure the tire pressure of the spare tire.

Ensure no water gets onto the vehicle floor

Avoid using solvent, thinner, gasoline, or window cleaner

Vacuum the upholstery to remove loose dirt

Apply mild soap or detergent solution with a sponge or soft cloth

Allow soap solution to soak in for a few minutes

Remove dirt and wipe off soap with a clean damp cloth

Hose off the undercarriage at least once a month if driving on salted roads or living near the ocean.

Use high pressure water or steam to clean the vehicle’s underside and wheel housings.

Check and clear drain holes on the lower edge of doors, rocker panels, and frame members.

Wash the underside of the vehicle thoroughly when winter is over.

Wash the vehicle as soon as possible in the following conditions

Open the glove box and push in each side to release the stoppers.

Pull the filter out of the filter outlet.

Filter Inspection and Replacement

Inspect the filter surface for dirt.

Is the filter dirty and needs replacement?
