Remove both pipe plugs at each end shell
Clean out any hardened grease or foreign matter from the pipe plugs
Grease Fitting Installation and Lubrication
Replace one plug on each end with a clean grease fitting
Using a low pressure grease gun, pump grease into the bearing cavity until new grease shows at the open port
Belt Tension Adjustment
Pre-Adjustment Checks
Is the unit equipped with power exhaust fans or a return air fan?
Belt Tension Adjustment Procedure
Loosen the four bolts holding the motor base to the channels
Adjust the belt by turning nuts 'A' (see detail 'B')
Apply a perpendicular force to one belt at the midpoint of the span using a belt tension checker
Use a straight edge from sheave to sheave as a reference line to determine the deflection distance from the normal position
Select the fan type and motor horsepower for belt deflection force reference
Tension new belts at the maximum deflection force recommended
2 Monthly Indoor Blower Bearing Lubrication
Safety Precautions
Ensure power is disconnected from the unit before starting maintenance
Is the unit in operation?
Bypass Mode Instructions
Switch the bypass VFD by hand on the front of the bypass enclosure in the fan cabinet
Set the switches on the front of the bypass box to the correct positions for normal running
If the drive fails, switch the BYPASS/OFF/DRIVE switch to BYPASS
Lubrication Guidelines
Select the appropriate relubrication cycle based on operating speed and shaft size
1 Monthly Filters Maintenance
Safety Precautions
Shut off all power to the unit
Label all wires prior to disconnection
Filter Inspection and Replacement
Inspect filters
Filter type action
Is the dimensional size of the replacement filter the same as the replaced filter?
Post-Maintenance Verification
Verify proper operation after servicing
10 Yearly Outdoor Fan, Vendor Motors Maintenance
Safety Precautions
Shut off all power to the unit
Label all wires prior to disconnection
Motor Maintenance
Verify outdoor fan motors are permanently lubricated
Is lubrication desired for outdoor fan motors?
Verify ventor motors are factory lubricated for 10-year life
Post-Maintenance Verification
Verify proper operation after servicing
