Thermal Expansion Valves (TXVs)

Enter the number of independent refrigeration systems

Measure the superheat leaving the evaporator coil

Is adjustment of the superheat necessary?

Are there any bubbles in the sight glass?

Disconnect power from the blower motor unit

Ensure the unit is not in operation before lubricating bearings

Pipe Plugs Removal and Cleaning

Remove both pipe plugs at each end shell

Clean out any hardened grease or foreign matter

Grease Fitting Installation and Lubrication

Replace one plug on each end with a clean grease fitting

Using a low pressure grease gun, pump grease into the bearing cavity until new grease shows at the open port

Label all wires prior to disconnection

Filter Inspection and Replacement

Is replacement or cleaning necessary?

Replace or clean filter as necessary

Verify dimensional size of replacement filter

Ensure power is disconnected from the unit before maintenance

Is the bypass VFD switched by hand on the front of the bypass enclosure?

Set the switches on the front of the bypass box

Select the operating speed (RPM) and shaft size (Inches)

Use premium quality NLGI 2 grade multi-purpose roller bearing grease

Review installation for errors, leaks, or undesirable system effects

Ensure blower speed changes are necessary and safe

Enter the PD of the standard sheave

Calculate the PD of the new sheave using the formula: (Specified CFM/Measured CFM) X PD of standard sheave

Select the new motor sheave based on the calculated PD and reference tables
