Ensure the engine has stopped and is cool before performing any service to the blower.

Ignition Coil Air Gap Inspection

Is the air gap within the standard range of 0.3mm to 0.4mm (0.012" to 0.016")?

Adjust the air gap between the ignition coil and the iron core of the rotor if necessary.

Refer to diagram F24 for visual guidance.

Components involved in the inspection

Wash the prefilter in fresh, non-flammable cleaning solution (e.g., warm soapy water) and then dry

Exchange the paper filter element if contaminated

Ensure the prefilter is dry type and not washed in oleaginous cleaning solution

Confirm the paper filter is not cleaned by striking it

Check the air cleaner before use

Ensure air filter is not deformed or broken

Do not clean a paper filter by striking it

Unscrew 2 knob bolts and remove the air cleaner cover

Remove the prefilter mounted inside the air cleaner cover

WARNING: Ensure Engine is Stopped and Cool

Verify the engine is stopped and cool before starting inspection

Inspect the air inlet net for any blockages or obstacles

Is the air inlet net free from blockages?

Remove any obstacles from the air inlet net if present

Ensure the net is attached securely and is free from damage

Is the net attached securely and free from damage?

IMPORTANT: Never Operate Without Net

WARNING: Ensure Engine is Stopped and Cool

Verify the engine has stopped and is cool before starting the procedure

Shoulder Strap Replacement Instructions

Inspect the shoulder strap for damage

Take off the clip from the strap

Pass the end of the strap through the hanger

Is the thick round bar of the clip correctly positioned in the strap?
