100 Hourly / 6 Monthly Fuel Pipe Check
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS: Stop the engine when attempting the check and change prescribed below. Never fail to check the fuel pipe periodically. If the fuel pipe is subject to wear and aging, fuel may leak out onto the running engine, causing a fire.
Fuel pipe connections checked?
Tightener band loose?
If the tightener band is loose, apply a slight coat of lubricant onto the threads and securely retighten it.
Fuel pipe and tightener band changed every two years?
The fuel pipe is made of rubber and ages regardless of period of service. Change the fuel pipe together with the tightener band every two years and securely tighten.
Fuel pipe and tightener band found damaged or degraded earlier than two years?
If the fuel pipe and tightener band are found damaged or degraded earlier than two years, then change or remedy.
Fuel system bled after the fuel pipe and tightener band have been changed?
100 Hourly Air Cleaner Element Cleaning
CAUTION: Never apply oil to the air cleaner as it uses a dry element.
Is dust build up more than half of the dust cup?
If dust build up is more than half, detach the dust cup and throw away the dust.
Is the filter element touched?
If the filter element is touched, it requires cleaning. Refer to the attached instructions.
If the element is strained with carbon or oil, apply one of the following cleansers
Change the element once yearly or every time the air cleaner is rinsed with water (6 times a year).
Is the dust cup refitted with the arrow upright?
If the dust cup is improperly refitted, dust passes by the dust cup and directly adheres to the element, badly affecting the service life.
100 Hourly Clutch Play Check
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel!
Measure the clutch pedal play
Is the clutch pedal play between 2 to 4mm?
Measure the clutch pedal travel
Is the clutch pedal travel 8mm?
Is the clutch difficult to disengage?
If the clutch is difficult to disengage, extend the intermediate rod.
Is the clutch play too little?
If the clutch play is too little, shorten the intermediate rod.
100 Hourly Fan Drive Belt Tension Check
Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!
Fan drive belt loose?
If fan drive belt is loose, proceed with the following steps
Loosen the adjusting nut and tighten the tension bolt to stretch the belt
Adjusting nut tightened after adjustment?
Dynamo drive belt loose?
If dynamo drive belt is loose, proceed with the following steps
Loosen the bolts and turn the dynamo to stretch the belt
Three bolts tightened after adjustment?
100 Hourly Fuel Filter Cleaning
Warning: This procedure should be performed in a clean place to prevent dust intrusion.
Fuel filter pot cock closed
Top cap unscrewed and removed, inside rinsed with kerosene
Element taken out and rinsed in kerosene
Fuel filter reassembled, ensuring no dust or dirt intrusion
Fuel filter bled by opening the fuel cock and loosening the bleeding screws until air bubbles disappear
Injection pump bled
Caution: If dust and dirt enter the fuel, the fuel pump and injection nozzle are subject to quick wear. Ensure to clean the fuel filter pot periodically.
