Gas Burner Air Shutter Adjustment
Safety Precautions
Disconnect electric power to the tumble dryer before servicing.
Close gas shut-off valve to gas tumble dryer before servicing.
Close steam valve to steam tumble dryer before servicing.
Ensure all guards/panels are in place before starting the tumble dryer.
Reconnect any removed ground wires to ensure proper grounding of the tumble dryer.
Preparation
Remove all lint from lint compartments and lint screen.

Safety Precautions
Ensure the dryer is used for drying water washed fabrics only.
Verify that none of the following items are in the dryer
Ensure surrounding areas are free of flammable and combustible products.
Daily Cleaning Tasks
Remove debris from the lint screen filter.
Clean inside of the lint filter compartment.
Clean the area around the exhaust opening and adjacent surrounding area from lint, dust, and dirt.
Periodic Maintenance
1 Monthly Fire Suppression System Check
Pre-Test Preparations
Inform the fire department about the upcoming test if the auxiliary output is used to notify them.
Disconnect the auxiliary output if it is used to activate a building sprinkler system.
Auxiliary Alarm System Check
Verify the connection to the auxiliary output through the H-4 header connection inside the fire suppression control box.
Check the relay rating and ensure it is within 5 Amp, 250VAC max.
Post-Test Actions
Reconnect the auxiliary output if it was disconnected prior to the test.
Inform the fire department that the test is complete if they were notified before the test.
Gas Valve Governor/Regulator Adjustment
Preparation
Ensure the following tools are available
Refer to Figure 13 for guidance
Pressure Check
Remove screw plug from pressure tap
Connect a U-tube manometer to the burner orifice pressure tap and record the pressure
Start tumble dryer and observe pressure once flame is burning
Regulator Adjustment
Remove regulator cap
1 Yearly Hose Maintenance
Visual Inspection of Hoses
Check hoses for visible signs of deterioration
Is there any visible sign of deterioration on the hoses?
Replacement of Deteriorated Hoses
Replace any hose showing signs of deterioration immediately
Post Maintenance Verification
Verify that all hoses have been inspected and replaced if necessary
